Courtney Wright, MBA
Director of the Business Communication Center

Courtney is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Management & Corporate Communication and Director of the Business Communication Center (BCC). In addition to running the BCC, she teaches in the MBA, EMBA-Evening, Master of Accounting and MBA@UNC programs. She also regularly provides presentation skills coaching in Kenan-Flagler’s Executive Education programs. A double Alumna of UNC, Courtney graduated with a BA in Psychology. After working in the legal field and software industry, she returned to UNC to pursue her MBA where she concentrated in Marketing and Sustainable Enterprise. She also holds a Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from Duke University and Authentic Leadership Coaching from Raleigh Coaching Academy. Outside of school/work, Courtney loves skiing, mountain biking, hiking, weightlifting (really, anything active!), traveling with her husband and 3 teenage children, and cooking diverse cuisines. She’s also a self-professed coffee snob and perpetually in search of the perfectly brewed cup of coffee!


Aadil Ahmad
MBA Class of 2025

Aadil, originally from India, was born in Saudi Arabia, where he embraced a rich blend of cultures and diverse cuisines. He earned his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, where he played a pivotal role in establishing campus-wide boot camps that benefited over 750 students in their personal and professional development, with a particular focus on enhancing their soft skills.

After graduation, Aadil worked for a strategy and marketing consulting firm in Saudi Arabia, where he led major campaigns for events like Riyadh Season. During this time, he had the opportunity to collaborate with international celebrities such as Imagine Dragons, Sean Paul, Salman Khan, and many others.

This summer, Aadil interned at Bain & Company’s Dubai office, working on an FMCG investment case for a large ministry in Saudi Arabia. Outside of his professional life, Aadil enjoys hiking, food vlogging, and is passionate about sustainability and mentorship. As a co-president of the MBA Consulting Club, Aadil dedicates significant time to planning activities and enhancing students’ recruitment experiences.


Kasha Ely
MBA Class of 2025

Kasha Ely grew up in Chapel Hill and graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s in Photojournalism and a Master’s in Technology & Communications. Before KFBS, she spent 10 years in creative production and marketing in the public sector. At KFBS, she serves on the boards of the Marketing and Pride clubs and is pursuing a concentration in sustainable enterprise. This summer, she intered with Kenvue as a Marketing Summer Associate. In her free time, she enjoys acting, reading, and spending time with her husband, cats, and chickens.


Pragya Handy
MBA Class of 2025

Pragya was born and raised in Delhi, India. She then went to The Ohio State University to pursue her Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering and Mathematics. After completing her bachelors, Pragya moved to Dallas, TX to work at S&P Global as an Implementation Consultant. After working there for 2 years, she realized she had some tools lacking in her business toolkit so decided to pursue her MBA from Kenan-Flagler. She has been an active member of the MBA community by taking part in case competitions such as DCC and Tepper Case Tech. She also worked with a global CPG company as her STAR client navigating the intricacies of the beauty industry and AI. She recently went on a GIE to Peru to learn more about the business practices in a different country. She is now serving as the President of the Business and Technology Club (BTC) here at Kenan-Flagler.

This summer, Pragya interned at Comcast in a Product Strategy role in Philadelphia to support a new Xfinity Mobile release with segment perks. She loves interior designing, binge watching Netflix, and being outdoor with her friends. She loves Ramen and is open to any new places to try!


Hailey Innocent
MBA Class of 2025

Born in Canada, but raised in Florida, Hailey graduated from The University of Florida in 2017 with a Bachelor in Design and a Minor in Urban and Regional Planning. Prior to Kenan-Flagler, she spent 7 years at the international architecture and design firm, Perkins Eastman, working across a variety of markets as a commercial interior designer. This summer, Hailey interned in real estate development at Wood Partners. In addition to spending time outdoors with her fiancé and dog, Coco, she has a deep passion for the visual and performing arts, enjoys live music and concerts, and will take an opportunity to lounge at the beach.


Kshitij Jain
MBA Class of 2025

Kshitij (Shi-tij) is an International student born in India, but raised in the Middle East. He did his first MBA with specializations in Marketing & Operations. Before starting his MBA at Kenan-Flagler, he spent 6 years in Procurement and Operations Consulting across different firms with this last role at McKinsey & Company. He is currently concentrating in consulting and interned at EY-Parthenon in New York City. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickleball, working out, spending time outdoors and watching Formula 1.

 


Savannah Koob
MBA Class of 2025

Born in Virginia but raised in North Carolina, Savannah graduated from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in 2022 with a Bachelor in Management & Society and a Minor in Conflict Management. Prior to attending Kenan-Flagler Business School, she gained experience in the commercial insurance industry working for a wholesale broker and also spent several months working in the non-profit sector.

This summer, Savannah interned in merchandising operations at Walmart. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her partner and their dog, Dunkin. Savannah has a passion for drag racing and automechanics, loves cooking and exploring new restaurants, and finds relaxation in thrifting.


Matt Komitor
MBA Class of 2025

Originally from Denver, Colorado, Matt holds a degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University, where he majored in Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, and Leadership in Organizations. He spent over five years in the Media/Entertainment industry focusing on Content Partnerships at DISH Network before deciding to attend the program. This year, Matt will serve as the Co-President of the Consulting Club.

Matt interned with Deloitte Consulting in their M&A practice in Charlotte, NC this summer. In his free time, Matt enjoys watching Denver Nuggets basketball, playing golf, and hanging out with his goldendoodle, Finn.


Tim Macchi
MBA Class of 2025

Tim is from Sarasota, Florida and has a diverse background in healthcare. He holds degrees in public health from George Washington University and nursing from Emory University. Prior to business school, Tim spent 9 years gaining hands-on experience as an EMT, cardiovascular ICU nurse, and clinical instructor, while also delving into healthcare policy. Tim is passionate about leveraging his unique skill set in the consulting field. This year he is the Vice President of Alumni Relations for the Consulting Club. Tim interned in Washington D.C. with EY-Parthenon. In his free time he enjoys cooking, weightlifting, and skeet shooting.


Amir Nili
MBA Class of 2025

Amir Nili grew up in both London, England, and Miami, Florida. He completed his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Boston University and Master’s in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Before Kenan-Flagler, Amir built a progressive career in HR and DEI across multiple sectors, including roles at Pew Research Center, Hilton Hotels, and Internews. At UNC, he is concentrating in Consulting and Managing People and Organizations. This past summer, he interned at PwC in their Workforce Transformation practice. In his free time, Amir enjoys playing and watching rugby, basketball, and tennis, while also exploring photography and pickleball. Amir is a passionate traveler and reader, and often draws inspiration from stories and the arts.


Adaeze Nwadike
MBA Class of 2025

Adaeze was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Before attending Kenan-Flagler, she gained experience in communications, working across sectors to help impact-driven organizations and startups scale. She also created Airen Foundation, a non-profit that supports women from underserved communities with access to maternal health education and services. At UNC, her concentrations are in Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Enterprise. This year, she will be the Co-President of the Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club and the Vice President of Socials for the Africa Business Club.

Over the summer, Adaeze interned as a summer associate at Kearney. In her spare time, she loves exploring new cities, visiting art galleries, finding or cooking good food, and reading fiction.


Adithya (Adi) Raghu
MBA Class of 2025

Adithya (Adi) Raghu grew up in Naperville, IL, a suburb of Chicago. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a B.S. in Business Management while also on the pre-med track. Before KFBS, Adi worked as a content consultant and project manager at SAP in their Managed Cloud Delivery group, with experiences ranging across both the commercial and federal spaces. Passionate about sustainable business practices and data-driven decision-making, Adi is concentrating in Sustainable Enterprise and Business Analytics & Management Science. Additionally, he is the VP of Social & Events for the Business Technology Club and the Co-VP of Case Families and CSG for Consulting Club.

This summer Adi interned at EY-Parthenon in New York as part of the Deal Tech team and supported a large healthcare sell-and-separate transaction. In his free time, Adi likes to cook, read, watch sports, and play basketball & tennis with his friends.


Vrindha Ramesh
MBA Class of 2025

Vrindha Ramesh is originally from Chennai, India, and graduated from SRM Institute of Science & Technology in 2018 with a degree in Computer Science Engineering. Before pursuing an MBA at UNC Kenan-Flagler, Vrindha worked as an SAP HCM and Infor WFM consultant, with experience at Deloitte and Larsen & Toubro Infotech. She also founded and operated Amalfi Italiana, an Italian restaurant in Chennai, where she developed key strategies for business growth. This summer, Vrindha interned at Classic Carolina, a retail store on Franklin Street, Chapel Hill focusing on their retail strategy and marketing. In her free time, she enjoys DIY projects, culinary experiences and reading.


Sam Shen
MBA Class of 2025

Sam was born and raised in Shanghai, China. He moved to Canada to pursue an undergrad degree in Finance and Economics at the University of Toronto. Before his MBA, he worked in Canadian retail banking at TD Canada Trust and later became a venture capital investor investing in deep technologies in Shanghai. Sam is passionate about technology, loves road trips and is a huge Formula 1 fan.

This past summer, Sam interned at LEK’s San Francisco office as a summer consultant and worked on three diligence cases. He is happy to help and support in any way possible, particularly for students interested in consulting.


Shreyansh (Shrey) Singhal
MBA Class of 2025

Shrey Singhal is from Hyderabad, India and graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SASTRA University in 2014. Before his MBA, he had about 9 years of work experience as a startup founder, investment banker, market intelligence expert and, most recently, as a venture capital investor. He is passionate about anything business, innovation, finance, and sustainability. Over the summer, Shrey interned at Honeywell in their Strategy and M&A team. In his spare time, he loves painting, scuba diving and is an upcoming F1 fan.


Hari Chandana Surapuraju
MBA Class of 2025

Born and raised in India, Hari Chandana pursued her undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering at IIT Bombay. After graduating, Hari transitioned into the cybersecurity industry, where she played a key role in developing the go-to-market strategy for a firm focused on the healthcare and pharma sectors. Currently, Hari serves as the Executive Vice President of the Consulting Club, where she is dedicated to organizing initiatives that support students in their recruitment process. Last summer, she interned at BCG, working on a project to reimagine the product portfolio for a large logistics company. Outside of her professional life, Hari is passionate about Indian classical dance, music, and cooking. She is also committed to mentorship and making a positive impact on her community.


Jose Velazquez
MBA Class of 2025

Originally from Venezuela, Jose holds a Bachelor’s degree from Tec de Monterey (Mexico) and a Master’s degree from Macquarie University (Australia), both in International Business. After graduating, he joined Johnson & Johnson within their Finance Leadership Program and eventually pivoted to Corporate Banking. Most recently, he was the Sales Finance Controller for Mexico at Dell.

At Kenan-Flagler, he’s the president of the LATAM Club and this summer he interned at McKinsey & Company in their Charlotte office.


Tyler Wise
MBA Class of 2025

Tyler is from Charlotte, NC and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Winthrop University and a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University. He worked for Ally Financial, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America prior to business school in various audit and risk positions. Most recently, he was an Audit Manager at Wells Fargo’s investment bank. At Kenan-Flagler, Tyler is the Executive Vice President for the Investment Banking Club and an MBA ambassador.

This summer, Tyler interned as an Investment Banking Summer Associate in the Financial Institutions Group at Wells Fargo in New York City and will be returning full time in the summer following graduation. He especially enjoys helping and supporting students looking for roles in investment banking, investment management, and corporate finance.
